I sure hope so cuz "slow and steady" definitely describes me to a tee in many areas of life, quilting being one of 'em. There always seems to be so many other things screaming for my attention, which is one of my excuses ... you know, those dreaded chores that are never ending, a job, etc., etc., etc.; but "mistakes" also take a front seat, unfortunately. See what I did here???
Ding Bat City USA is where I was residing at that very moment. I even took the picture upside down for goodness sakes!!! Fortunately, and I don't mean that lightly, I noticed the problem after staring at it for a few minutes. I was soooooo thankful that I hadn't gotten any further along before seeing it correctly like I've done umpteen times in the past! After spending a bit of time frog sewing (rippit, rippit, rippit), I finally got it right; and here's the beginning of the Noah's Ark Quilt :)
Hopefully, I'll be back w/evidence of a "finished top" soon :)
Mistakes are not always mistakes. What you discovered may have simply been a new design option. Things that we think of as wrong are sometimes the best, and most original way of creating a new design. Love you center block pring.
Married to my wonderful Husband, Gene, for 35 years with one beautiful Daughter, Michelle Darlene (Micki) in Heaven. Loving her and missing her every day since she left us 3-1/2 years ago. She courageously battled Crohn's Disease for 23 long years and she continues to inspire me each and every day. Gene has been battling severe multi-level spinal stenosis for 5 years now, but he's always in good spirits in spite of it. I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer on 7/9/10 and it's been one heck of a ride ever since. We learned that it had spread to my brain in September bringing me to Stage IV; and I had the amazing "Gamma Knife" procedure, along with a surgery to install a shunt in my brain. God is sooooooo good cuz He has surrounded us with an amazing amount of love and support from sooooooo many wonderful folks. We have a little 3 pound munchkin ... a little Yorkie named Dolly Darlene; and she basically rules our little castle. I'm a gal in love with Jesus and quilting is what keeps me sane in this journey that we call "life." It is truly my passion!!!
